Dear Reader,
This week the theme is True Stories in Film. I’m a big fan of watching and making feature films based on true life inspiring stories. This week I share one film I watched and one I look forward to watching. If you haven’t checked out films screening in theaters by Fathom or Angels Studios I recommend you check them both out. - John Duffy

I Got Stories # 1: Hollywood Not Hollywood - “Unsung Hero”
Based on a remarkable true story, Unsung Hero follows David Smallbone as he moves his family from Down Under to the States, searching for a brighter future after his successful music company collapses. With nothing more than their seven children, suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY's Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife Helen (Daisy Betts) set out to rebuild their lives. Helen's faith stands against all odds and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs. With their own dreams on hold, David and Helen begin to realize the musical prowess in their children, who would go on to become two of the most successful acts in Inspirational Music history: five-time GRAMMY Award®-winning artists for KING + COUNTRY and Rebecca St. James. - Rotten Tomatoes

Inspirational Song: “God Only Knows”
Two-time GRAMMY® award-winning duo for KING & COUNTRY (brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone) discuss the Story Behind the Song for their song, and current radio single, “God Only Knows.”
The band reflects, “We’ve walked with those we love as they’ve battled through loneliness, we’ve heard your stories of great loss, and lately, we’ve seen several in the public eye take their own lives. In turn, we were compelled to write and portray an honest, yet hopeful, song for us all during difficult seasons.”
for KING & COUNTRY recently took to social media to raise awareness for a few causes close to their heart, including human trafficking and suicide prevention. The response they have gotten since has been overwhelming. Fans from all over the world left comments describing their own experiences with depression and anxiety, crediting “God Only Knows” for helping them through some of the toughest times of their lives. - CCMMagazine
