Happy Independence Day
249th Anniversary of July 4th
Happy 249th Independence Day. Thank you to all the Founders who created this great nation and all those who fought for it and defended it in our Military.
My parents both immigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1928 arriving at Ellis Island. My father joined the US Army and fought in World War II in the Philippines. They gave my brother and me our American Dream.
I didn’t appreciate it when I was a teenager growing up in poverty in the South Bronx, but I became a Born Again American after having a change of heart and an awakening, especially after 9/11.
So today I celebrate our independence, our freedom and the greatest country in the World. And I say Happy 4th of July and God Bless America.
